COMPETITION RULES

wHAT IS WRITE MY HEART OUT (WMHO)?

Write My Heart Out is a song writing contest. Our mission is to foster expression of emotions through a positive, creative outlet. WMHO is designed to nurture the creative talent in youth of all ages and promote importance of emotional expression.

 
 

PRIZE AND HOW WE PICK A WINNER

  • 2 winners will get a cash prize and the opportunity to perform at the JAMS Spring Recital! The Adult winner will receive $ 75 (18 and older) and the Youth winner will receive $ 100 (17 and under)

  • Depending on the category, submissions are judged on the following criteria:

    • Creativity

    • Originality

    • Lyrics (excludes songs that do not have lyrics)

    • Melody

    • Arrangement

    • Overall like-ability

TO SUBMIT:

1) Record a video of your original song or poem (5 mins or less).

2) Submit your video by March 31st to jamsacademylesson@gmail.com using wetransfer.com. Title your submission “WMHO- Your Name”.
